Artistic director Andrew Whyment founded SQUINT in 2009 when the company achieved critical success with Frozen at the Edinburgh Fringe. SQUINT fluidly recruits actors, creative’s and production team members for each new production. SQUINT is a unique company that unites young theatre professionals at the beginnings of their careers to create innovative, ensemble-driven theatre with a contemporaneous flavour.

Simon Stephens' Bluebird follows Jimmy, a London mini cab driver, over the course of one night as he picks up a variety of 'fares'. As each passenger’s secrets are revealed, Jimmy must confront his own demons and return to the site of a tragic event from his past.

The first London revival of Bluebird since the Royal Court premiere in 1998 will be performed at the Cockpit Theatre, this November. SQUINT’s production fuses rich characterisation with a panoramic representation of London life in 2010.
